Pathways
Description
A curriculum and process that uses the MMCo Audit findings to prepare a property and congregation for either Development or Alternate Property Use. Pathways are progressive from Financial Readiness to Organizational Readiness to Property Readiness. Most congregations will progress up to the Organizational Readiness Pathway and proceed towards an Alternate Property Use outcome. The Rebirth Pathway is unique to congregations whose only option is to sell their property and does not progress to the other pathways.
Outcomes
- Financial Readiness: Improve fundability by providing more time to implement changes organizational and financial improvements. Advances to the Organizational Readiness Pathway
- Organizational Readiness: Improve organizational capacity by ensuring a clear definition and communication of legacy and mission and implementing organizational improvements to decision-making, culture to change, and partnerships.
- Property Readiness: Prepare specific activities to attract developers to partner in a transformation project.
- Rebirth: Provide a state of the church context. Enable the grieving process to begin. Assist in defining alternative ways to honor the congregations legacy and mission.
